North-JerseyNews.com is changing how we cover COVID-19 as the pandemic moves to an endemic. While we will still provide reporting on any major developments in regards to the pandemic, we will be breaking out the most recent numbers from the state’s dashboard instead of including them with a story as we have done since March 2020. It is our belief that this will still provide you with a complete picture of COVID in our community while allowing us to continue to cover other issues of importance in North Jersey.

Rate of Transmission: 1.04, unchanged from day before
Percent Positivity: 10.6% as of Sept. 15; by region, the rate was 11.0% in the North, 11.4% in the Central region and 8.4% in the South

Total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered in New Jersey: 14,769,350 (14,247,329 in-state, plus an additional 522,021 administered out-of-state)
Fully Vaccinated: 7,050,560 (6,840,841 in state and another 209,719 out of state). By county, 742,233 in Bergen County, 615,317 in Essex, 547,063 in Hudson, 396,614 in Morris, 369,851 in Passaic, 94,799 in Sussex, and 62,677 in Warren.
